Nanoparticles and particles

The analysis of nanomaterials constitutes another specialty, both in environmental matrices and in the field of materials (e.g.: nanoparticles in food and packaging, nanoparticles as biological vectors, etc.). To do this, the platform is equipped with multiple techniques for characterizing rare or unique nanoparticles in Quebec, including dynamic and static light scattering, nanoparticle tracking analysis, analytical ultracentrifugation, fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, particle analysis by the Coulter principle, dark-field hyperspectral microscopy and single-particle ICP-MS. These analyzes are carried out for private and public sector partners and in certain cases, collaborations are established in order to develop the technical expertise necessary to properly characterize these materials of emerging interest.
