The mission of the platform is to offer state-of-the-art services for the analysis of contaminants of emerging interest such as nanoparticles, microplastics and pharmaceutical products and pesticides. The platform also provides a data interpretation service and research support to private, government and academic sectors in addition to offering its clients a specialized infrastructure where the development of new methods can be done in partnership with clients. Analysis is carried out in multiple state-of-the-art laboratories, including a controlled atmosphere enclosure that includes spaces with cleanliness levels 1000, 10,000 and 100,000 (clean rooms).
The services and expertise of 4 pre-existing Centers / Platforms have been combined: Center for Analysis and Characterization of Nanomaterials (CACEN, Wilkinson); Analysis of metals of emerging interest (AMIE, Amyot); Environmental mass spectrometry platform (PSME, Sauvé) and the air analysis platform (PA2, Hayes).
The wide range of analyzes are accessible to the public, private and academic sectors.
