Platform for the analysis of contaminants of emerging concern

We have significant infrastructure and expertise for the analysis of metals in all environmental compartments (water, air, soil and biological tissues). Four inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometers are available in the platform, including two triple quadrupole ICP-MS, one magnetic sector (i.e. high resolution) ICP-MS and a time-of-flight ICP-MS that is specialized for the analysis of multi-element particles and elemental imaging. Technical capacity is available for routine analyzes. In addition, specialist expertise is present for method developments for both emerging metals and difficult matrices. Finally, we have the capacity to analyze mercury and methylmercury species in all matrices (by atomic fluorescence spectrometry) and to make measurements of metal speciation (including rare earths) in all matrices (by liquid chromatography coupled to ICP-MS).
