Routine high-throughput analyzes will make it possible to characterize contaminant receiving environments, with an emphasis on nutrient analysis, including analyzes at low concentrations, typical of several Quebec environments. This type of precision is necessary in the study of the outbreak of cyanobacteria blooms, for example. Indeed, the platform is equipped with the following environmental analytical capabilities: sample digestors, nitrogen and phosphorus species analysis, chlorophyll, CHNS elemental analyses, total and dissolved organic carbon analysis (TIC/TOC), analysis of greenhouse gases (N2O, CO2, CH4) and analysis of carbon quality by spectrofluorescence (PARAFAC).
